Looking down the chart (first time I've looked down Radio 1's album charts for YEARS...) it seems that artists from the past just ain't going to go away. I mean: Neil Diamond (3, 13, 31) Paul Weller (5) Dennis Wilson (16) Petula Clark (17) - no comments about Dennis being just above Petula, please! Dolly Parton (23) Madonna (24) Guns N' Roses (29) Judas Priest (30) The Platters (34) Paul Simon (38) Okay a lot of "Best of"s in there - and I'd count Weller, MAdonna, G&R and Judas Priest as being contemporary compared to what I usually listen to - but it rather seems that "oldies but mouldies" still have that edge.
