According to an email from HMV my copy of POB has been dispatched already. Is this possible - I didn't think it was released until the 16th?

I'm not sure about HMV specifically, but some online retailers will ship items as soon as they receive their stock, so often times you receive your item on or even slightly before street date.  So yes, it is possible that your copy is on its way to you, lucky dog!

Hey that's great! I specified free shipping though so I'd be surprised if it arrives before the 16th. If it does I'll be sure to gloat like a big fat lucky dog!!

I'm in the Netherlands, so I should be able to get my copy tomorrow (albums are released here the Friday prior to the US/UK dates).

I ordered it on CD and vinyl at my local record shop yesterday and was told that the vinyl is going to cost well over 50 euros...  :-\

I'm Dutch too. Are you sure of that? Would be really cool.

I've been told that Kroese will have it in tomorrow, so if there's one of those near you, you should be in luck.  :) 20 euros for the CD.

If you go in the morning, be sure to ask. They seem to have a habit of not putting the new releases out while after lunch.

I ordered my copies of both the 2cd and 3LP at KingKong Records (Leeuwarden). CD costs €20,- the 3LP €36 something. So that 50 Euro's is a pure rip-off...


EDIT: and my seller also told me the CD arrives Friday the 13th. The vinyl version at around June 30th.

Down here in Australia I have left it to the last to see if it will be released locally - checked with a few stores last week and nobody knows anything about it, trolling the net I have found out that the Sony Legacy series has not be released here and has to be specially ordered on USA import.

Off to Amazon I go!!

Hmmm... When I asked the guy behind the counter to order it, I looked on his screen with him and that was actually the price on his wholesale price list... So I know he wasn't ripping me off... But maybe he should look for a different distributor then...

Got it as well. The seller had ordered 4 copies: one for me, one for himself  ;D , and 2 for the shop. Checked the other recordstores in town as well, no-one's selling them.

And now a few more hours to go before I get home and give it a listen...

Got mine today: it's in the shops in Holland. And what a beauty it is. Imagine Only With You on the Holland album. The album would have sold far better. And what about Tug Of Love. It's better than anything the Beach Boys did around those days. The songs sound so clear, you'll hear things you never heard before. And I thought Christmas comes only once a year.

STOP!!!!!!!!!!!  It's not fair!!!  I won't see one until Tuesday at the very earliest, and i suspect it will really be a few days later than that!  All this talk of "I got mine!  I got mine!" is making me jealous!!!

Still, at least my copy has the Dennis version of 'Wouldn't It Be Nice To Live Again' intact as a hidden song on disc 1. Took some finding, I can tell you. Good luck guys! ;D ;)

The bonus track on my copy is the Mike version of 10,000 Years - I'm taking mine copy of POB back to exchange it for a copy without any bonus track.

hmmm, there IS a hidden "snippet" after the last track (Mexico) on cd1. I'm curious on where that came from....

It wouldnt be the overdubb outtakes from All I Want to Do would it?

FYI The Saturn retail chain in Cologne told me the CD set is on order. Due for release June 20!! On top of that, the Cologne store on Hansaring has only ordered 2 copies. I urge anyone in Cologne to buy the two so that the have to re-order.

I just got an email from Amazon saying mine was shipped today, the 15th and I won't get it until the 21st. I will be at Best Buy first thing Tuesday morning when they open the doors to get an extra copy so I can listen to it NOW!!!!

That's certainly not the case with Amazon.com.  I'm always waiting until after the release date (sometimes up to a week) before I get my packages in the mail.  Sucks!

Then what was the point of ordering one to begin with?   ???

Does anyone know when it will be released in Japan? I was in HMV in Tokyo yesterday but no sign of it. I was thinking of making the trek to Tower today but am still pondering that. I did see it on Amazon Japan for 3148 yen  ($30 US dollars). Does anyone in the know, know if that would be the price I'd find it for in a store here?

Don't know if this helps but looks like Tower has it also. Maybe the price will mean more to you than me.
