I've never seen Al's band, but I will have seen Al and Matt by point as I'm seeing Al with Surf City All-Stars ten days from now. Babylon is about two hours from me as opposed to Atlantic City which is only one. I just saw Mike & Bruce a few months ago so I've seen everyone in the current lineup at least once. I really want to see Al's band because of all the sidemen who played with the Beach Boys. I'm upset I never got to see Mike Meros live before he passed away. I'd be kicking myself if I didn't take up the chance to see Ed Carter or Bobby Figueroa before something happened to them, too.
I guess I have to talk this over with my girlfriend, who so graciously volunteered to go with me to see Mike & Bruce (before I found out about Al + ESB) even though she doesn't really like the Beach Boys.
