No...that was a printing error. The 17th track is on disc two, as stated on cover two...for some reason they messed up and listed it on the cover for disc one as well...but it's not on the disc...which is why its blacked out. No April Fools around here. I know it's kinda rude to gloat, but I couldn't resist posting those scans.
Unfortuantely, I have to work today, but if I didn't I'd be listening to this non-stop. I did get a few good spins in last night. I can tell you that you will NOT be disappointed. This sounds SO FREAKIN' UNBELEAVIABLY GREAT! The sonic depth of these tunes is remarkable. Even on tracks you though you knew like the back of your hand, you will be amazed at what you can now hear. Layer after georgous layer of beautiful sound. POB sounds almost like an entierly new album. (I mean that in a good way.) So many little sonic surprises. This totally blows away the cruddy CD-R rip of POB I've been listening to for the past few years. I doubt I'll ever listen to my old copy again. Even the unreleased tracks on Bambu sound absolutely amazing. I don't want to give too much away yet and I still have much more to explore within these 2 discs. I want you all to be as pleasantly surprised on your first listen as I was on mine. Watch my blog for more updates. In sum, THIS IS WHAT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. Thanks go out to all involved, Jon Stebbins & Co. You've made Dennis proud; I can see him now, smiling down from heaven knowing his baby is getting out to the world in such a remarkable way. Many of the advance CDs I got lately had that too... I don't know how it exactly works, but all the advance CDs are numbered, they keep a list of who got which number and if you spread the music they can somehow find out from which copy it comes. |
