I know it's a long shot, but there is a possibility that we could get new releases from five different Beach Boys this year.  Dave Marks has already released his new 3-CD compilation.  Dennis' POB/Bambu will hopefully be released in the spring.  That Lucky Old Sun looks like it will probably be released this year, although no release date has been specified.  I really do have faith that Al's album will be released this year...there are too many guest artists involved for it to not be released soon.  The one super long-shot is Mike's solo album.  It is ready for release, but has not been talked about much in the past year or so.  I asked a band member about it last summer and he said that it hadn't been mentioned in a while, but had high praises for the album. 

That would be cool if all 5 were released this year, but I'd say that there's about a one in a thousand chance that will happen.  I'm pretty confident that we'll get at least 3 of them this year, if not 4.

Time for everyone on this forum to stop being nasty about 'Looking Back With Love'?
I don't know, I really quite like that album... It'd kind of cheery, which is more than can be said for POB, and that was important during the early 1980s UK recession!

There's also Bruce's polka album - any news about that one?  ???

Bruce did post on the BBB that he is in fact working on a little album.  Sounded pretty minimalistic - old demos, new demos. He didn't give too many details.

In my "Solo Sampler" idea thread, I mentioned all these albums.  A new Beach Boys album could be created with 2 new solo songs each from Brian, Al, Mike, Bruce and David plus a some unreleased songs from Dennis ("I'm Going Your Way", "Carry Me Home", "I've Got a Friend" - LIVE, "Wouldn't It Be Nice to Live Again" and "Ecology" would do QUITE nicely!)
