Title: Could this be where Smile got its name? Post by: Bill Ed on December 10, 2007, 09:20:40 PM I posted this on another board, where it generated little excitement. I saw this silly cartoon several years ago and it somehow struck a chord. Could Brian Wilson have had this is mind when he named the album? Now I have a link to it:

Post by: Magic Transistor Radio on December 13, 2007, 08:06:02 PM Perhaps the Smile album would've sent the hippies into histarics. Thus leading to laughter riots in the late 60s. Laughter would've spread throughout the world, thusly ending the Vietnam war. The album also ending drug abuse since the feeling of elation from Smile is so much better then getting stoned. Then all doctors lose there jobs, since the free medicine of laughter has healed everyone.
Therefore Brian decided not to release it :) |
