Well, appropriately enough, Brian Cox is featured in Tom Stoppard's new play "Rock And Roll". He's also noteworthy for being the first actor to play Hannibal Lector (in Michael Mann's "Manhunter"). He did a fantastic turn as screenwriting guru Michael McKee in "Adaptation". Perhaps you saw him as the demon girl's tragic father in "The Ring"? He sounds like a real fan despite getting the PS release date wrong. He played Vermont State Police Captain John O'Hagan in the 2001 Broken Lizard movie "Super Troopers". He had a small role as the father of the girl from the videotape in "The Ring". He played Hannibal Lector in the original version of "Red Dragon" (I think this one was called "Manhunter"), 5 years before Anthony Hopkins took on the part. He played Langrishe (sp?) the theatre producer in Deadwood (excellent show). He was in Braveheart, too, i think.
