I met her and I met him after the Brian show that she mentions in her story. He told me about meeting Brian. While I thought he was peculiar, I never thought that he was dangerous. I hope for her sake that she doesn't wind up in another situation like this again. I do have to say one thing: he shoved a copy of his CD in my hands, he then took it back so that he could autograph it for me. I neither asked for the CD, nor his autograph. I was quite taken aback by his delusions of grandeur. Give the devil his due, though, he's got some musical talent and is quite good at Brian/Raspberries-esque powerpop (as I recall). It's a shame, though, that his first impression tainted my impression of blueboarders. Subsequent blueboarders that I have met have been, for the most part, normal and pleasant. I mentioned somewhere else that some of them were so obsessed that they posted "going to bed now" messages. She was one of them.
After reading that mess (she gets /fail at web page design - I had to use every trick I have with Firefox to make that thing readable) I feel sorry for her for what happened, but the overwhelming feeling is that she brought it on herself, and still hasn't learned anything. There was no need to make any of this public, but she seems also to have a broad narcissistic streak - she just can't be quiet, has to put everything in the public eye. |
