Title: West Wing Joke Post by: Shady on September 30, 2007, 02:35:12 PM Not sure if anyone else here has ever watched the west wing, but i was just watching an episode and it had the most obscure joke..and i'm just wondering if anyone here would get it.
It went something like this: Josh: Jack Reese got transfered. Charlie: Well, I've got my own Beach Boys song going. Anyone have the faintest idea what that means?. I usually never watch TV, but tonight I was visiting my parents' house and had the TV on in the background while I was working on the setlist archive. There is definitely a lot of useless crap on TV.

With few exceptions, I pretty much have not been a regular viewer since about 1993 or so. I thought there was an additional line in there ("Jack Reese got transferred - that guy gets around") that instigated the Beach Boys joke. For what it's worth, I thought "The West Wing" was a well-written show, at least the first few seasons that creator Aaron Sorkin contributed to.
