Title: Who should the "surprise" Kennedy Center guests be?
Post by: kshane on September 11, 2007, 01:54:27 PM
The Kennedy Center press release says that the list of guest performers is kept secret from the audience and the honorees. Ok, you're the producer of the awards show now. Who would you like to invite as secret guest performers for Brian's portion of the show?

Paul McCartney is obvious.

I would get the Flaming Lips, David Gilmour, Sean Lennon, Dean Torrence, Ronnie Spector, The Wondermints (;)), and Tom Yorke (he would do a great cover of any of Brians best songs post 1965).

I'm still holding out hope someday I will hear Matthew Sweet do a cover of Caroline No.

Thought it would be choice for his Under the Covers cd with Susannah Hoffs, but he threw a curveball and did Warmth of the Sun.
