Title: The Fantastic Baggys Post by: roll plymouth rock on August 29, 2007, 01:35:23 PM I just picked up the PF Sloan/Steve Barri (aka The Fantastic Baggys) album "Tell 'Em I'm Surfin'" and it's fantastic! I've never heard such refined West Coast surf (other than the BB's, J&D and B&T) and was wondering what other smiley smilers think of this album. I definitely didn't expect it to be as good as it is...really great '64 vintage surf music, and sure, they rip off a lot of bb/j&d riffs, but it doesn't make the music bad to my ears. Thought I'd give a courtesy heads up to all of you who haven't heard it and love that early beach boys sound...pick up the fantastic baggys!
