The 1972 reissue that came with So Tough (which is, according to pretty much anyone who's heard it, the best sounding pressing anywhere) generally goes for around $5-$10 on ebay, and the green label Capitol reissue (which is also said to be one of the best sounding) goes for around $5.00.

Title: Re: simply vinyl pet sounds Post by: Aegir on January 25, 2006, 08:03:20 PM Speaking of Simply Vinyl, they're selling Smiley Smile and Wild Honey for six-and-a-half pounds each! The ten pound non-European shipping charges are pretty lame, though.
Hmm, I wonder.. first Pet Sounds, then Smiley Smile and Wild Honey; what's next? Friends and 20/20? Mmmmm. Title: Re: simply vinyl pet sounds Post by: absinthe_boy on January 26, 2006, 04:12:09 AM I have the SImply Vinyl Pet Sounds...and unless my ears are decieved it is MONO.
It's not a great recording though, really sounds a few generations old...a bit muddy in places but definately better than stereo. Generally their releases sound fantastic. |
