Not bad, but itīs full of mistakes and wrong myths.

Biggest myth -- Pet Sounds' bombing.  Folks, we now know that it went gold sometime in early to mid 1967.  AFTER the lawsuit was filed.  Capitol, royally p**sed with the band, didn't bother to do the math and submit the paperwork.  This was discovered around the time that the platinum status was accorded in 2000ish (forget the year).  Its platinum award is exclusively pretty much for CD era sales.

It annoys me even more that it sounds like PS was his first sophisticated work. Like, he went immediately from "Surfin USA" to "God Only Knows". And it also sounds like PS was his first work with the Wrecking Crew.  ::)

I thought you Brits understood Pet Sounds. From this article, oh I think not!

That's what you get.  Outside of most people here, Pet Sounds is their only LP that is hip to like.

I thought the Beach Boys were uber-popular in Britain.. hell, didn't even Bluebirds Over the Mountain do pretty well there?

The words Beach Boys and mass murderers should never be used in the same sentence. Period.

Even considering the Manson and John Stamos connections?
