Title: Other "patients" views on Landy
Post by: CosmicDancer on June 01, 2007, 08:52:04 AM
I was just curious as to whether or not any of Landy's other more famous patients have ever gone on record abot their care under Landy.  Do we even know of any other celebs who were under his treatment?  Or how their treatment compared to Brian's?  Any similarities or did he just pounce on Brian becuase of his emotional state?  Anyone know anything?

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene_Landy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene_Landy):

Quote
Before his association with Wilson, Landy's claim to fame was as a music producer, when he managed acts including George Benson. Only one person has ever named Landy as his psychologist other than Brian Wilson: Richard Harris. In an interview with journalist David Felton, Landy claimed that he had treated more, but that he was in no position to explain his background.

I have heard that he treated Alice Cooper.

It's my understanding that the actor Gig Young was under Dr. Landy's care when he shot and killed his wife and then turned the gun on himself back in 1978.  I recall reading this in a biography of Gig Young many years ago.

Alan I think you are correct. I am a Bruce Lee fan and he was promoting a movie he did with leftover Lee footage called Game Of Death. He seemed very normal in the interviews so it's surprising about how he went insane like that.
