Title: Late 1976 and 1977 Post by: Magic Transistor Radio on May 25, 2007, 04:29:26 PM I noticed that the Beach Boys were doing a lot more proggressive material during this time. Their live shows included Feel Flows, Sail On Sailor, All This is That . Not to mention that the album they recorded (Love You) was much more creative then the '15 Big Ones' or 'MIU'. I wonder if Brian begin to vote with Dennis and Carl at this time on decisions. From 74 til mid 76 weren't they doing pretty much all oldies? There was a concert from 1977 on youtube and it seems very tripped out. I believe it is the one where Brian has an argument with Mike before singing 'Back Home'.

I didn't realise that Feel Flows was a live staple for several years. It just seems like any video footage I've seen of them in 74 til mid 76 they are doing oldies. I thought the set list of the 77 show seemed odd, but I guess not (other then the brand new songs from Love You).
