While I didn't hear that as one of the excuses for not appearing at Monterey, if it is true, it seems like it was another time when Mike Love finally saw the light...the big, bright, shiny green light of money. Coca-Cola is addictive... And one should mention its acidity. "Coca-Cola Classic" has a pH of 2,5 on a scale from 0 to 14; 0 being the value of battery acid and 6,8/7,2 being considered as the "normal", neutral value of the human body... Which means that it is quite corrosive (more than vinegar for instance). Of course there's nothing wrong with drinking a glass of Coke now and then, but drinking it every day is definitely not the best thing to do. ;D
