Title: PBS: Soundtrack of the Century
Post by: the captain on May 04, 2007, 05:27:39 PM
I'm watching the aforementioned. They're showing clips from a Beach Boys performance (quite possibly lip synched) with Carl on bass and Al on guitar--that's all you can see, other than Dennis on drums. It's black and white. I know that isn't a lot to go on...but does anyone know what it is? Anyone see it?

(By the way, the show also had interviews with Brian and Elvis Costello and Lou Adler about the Beach Boys.)

I think it's from dutch TV. I uploaded "Good vibrations" on youtube, see this link (might still be processing): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFI6ssPL2Gg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFI6ssPL2Gg)

They also played other stuff which can be seen on youtube. Everything lip-synced though.

That's the one. I hadn't seen it before, so it struck my curiosity. Thanks for clearing it up.
