Twice in the past few days, this MB has apparently vanished. No explanation.

On AN Other MB, it's said that servers were being changed. Fine, but wouldn't it have been, well, POLITE and CONSIDERATE of someone to tell us, the posters, about this ?

Server/host change. I myself just found out about it right before it went offline. I couldn't post anything because, well, there wss nowhere to post to. Board disappeared in the middle of me trying to click on a post. That's how I found out about it :lol

Everything is finished though; there should be no more trouble.

Andrew, seriously...your bitching is just as annoying as your smug attitude. Leave it alone, noone really cares. We had to move servers, and thats that. Next time I have to scratch my ass, I'll make sure you get the appropriate emais.

Really good to see this board back. It is always missed when it is gone!

(a) This was done with the best intentions and
(b) It wasn't expected to give that much trouble, and certainly not that long either.
That's why I thought it would be - ahem - polite & considerate to at least reply on questions on the bbb-board, as at that moment there was no other way. That's my (Christian) attitude). But apparently not appreciated either.

Anyway, Andrew, you have a good point if you say it would've been thoughtful if this was announced prior to the temporary shut-down of ss.net. If this has bothered members of this site, then apologies from my side. We'll try to think about that a next time.
But it hurts to see this immediately being turned into a personal thing again. There are believers and non-believers among us who - like me- find it unnecessary and hurtful to give (negative) remarks this way. This is a Beach Boys forum, let's keep our focus on that. If we disagree on certain things, that's fine, that's were a messageboard is meant for, but we should keep it on a adult level.

Of course I have. I just have been using my computer at work to browse the web, as for some reason this site is approved, but Susan's is blocked from the computer. If I visit a blocked website too many times (read:more than twice), I get fired.I'm not going to give up a good paying job with great benefits just to post about a board outage! Yeah, I know I really shouldn't be using my work computer anyway for that purpose, but considering the hours I work...

Anyway, board's back up now.  Done bun can't be undone, or something like that. Love & Mercy.

Smile-Holland I was a bit concerned when the board left, but who cares now. You didn't do anything wrong. This is the only board I really like anyhow. I don't think it's worth getting upset about and your post is right on target.

At my workplace, I can get to this board and Susan's, but not the Smile Shop.  It gets "websensed" as an adult site.

im just glad it's back up, i couldnt function for a couple of days...unfortunatly, bodily functions too    :lol
