The extra verse was cool to hear. Brian looked kinda spaced out but in that era its not too surprising.

Hasn't Brian performed it a few times with the third verse added? I'm speaking of his touring of the past few years. On that 1989 TV show, Endless Summer, Brian did a couple of solo songs. One was "In My Car" and the other was "Love And Mercy". Remember, he was dressed in black leather and did that embarrassing dancing and gesturing. Didn't he insert the "I was prayin' to a god who just doesn't seem to care" line during that performance? I might be wrong, though...
