Title: Kingston Trio Documentary DVD with Al Jardine
Post by: Alan Boyd on September 23, 2006, 02:30:38 PM
I just saw the new documentary DVD, THE KINGSTON TRIO - WHEREVER WE MAY ROAM, that was produced earlier this year by Paul Surrat for Shout Factory and PBS.  It's a great film, and the bonus items on the DVD are even better than the documentary itself.

Al was interviewed for the film at his studio in Big Sur, and is featured prominently in the documentary and the bonus films, talking about The Kingston Trio's influence on The Beach Boys, "Sloop John B," "Raspberries, Strawberries," and those striped shirts the trio used to wear....

Check it out:

I saw it when it played, and wasn't so thrilled. But it was ok.
