An absolutely superb article from Chris Willman, and I'm sure many of us hope that someone was able to record the evening for posterity. If not, Chris did a masterful job of capturing its essence. A sweet touch to have Mike ("that song is a motherf*cker!") in attendance... While I wasn't able to come into town for it, I'm not going to miss Al and the Pet Sounds band on the 27th! Will Al and band really perform the whole album or keep it like they did before with two or three songs missing? Anyway, hope everyone will enjoy the show! |
