Wholeheartedly agree with ya there.  In fact, while they're at it they might as well throw in 6 discs worth of outtakes.   ;)

For that price I’d expect some input from David…plus Dennis and Carls real signature.  :lol

But tbh, I’m just jealous I can’t justify the purchase to the wife. 🤦‍♀️

The target for this book is not the BBs' fans, it's limited-edition book collectors. The same publisher has a Brian Wilson - Peter Blake book, also ridiculously priced. I'm waiting and hoping for an affordable mass market paperback edition, something I can actually afford.

Book looks cool-but like you said it is an art book aimed at a niche market-I would not be surprised if there is a second mass-market coffee table version in the future-which is much cheaper but I have no inside info to guarantee it.  I would not mind owning this book-but I don't think I'd spend that much to get it!

From looking at the excerpts, it looks like David Marks wasn't interviewed for the book at all which is odd, especially as he's usually been included in these sort of retrospectives in the past decade or so.

David seems to have lost a court case against Universal last week. Hopefully that hasn’t put him offside with the others.

I got a notice from Amazon saying the ABCs of CA book is being delayed until February March.

Hardcover now available for preorder 2 April. A more manageable price of $65, although the expensive versions have sold out.

$65 is obviously much more manageable. I will say, surprised that David Marks isn't included. Seems a bit odd looking at things over the course of the past 20 years.
