Title: New Stereo mix of "Be True To Your School" Post by: sixtiesstereo on May 30, 2021, 03:58:06 PM The Eric/Hit Parade/Complete 60's label has just released four new CD's, and one of them contains a new stereo DES mix
of the single version of "Be True To Your School". Sounds terrific to me, but take a listen: The sample is track 23 on this page... https://www.ericrecords.com/htf_StereoExpl-4.html (https://www.ericrecords.com/htf_StereoExpl-4.html) Title: Re: New Stereo mix of \ Post by: Joshilyn Hoisington on May 30, 2021, 04:45:53 PM Hey, that's not too bad!
Title: Re: New Stereo mix of \ Post by: Shane on June 01, 2021, 06:42:05 PM These are all digitally extracted from the mono versions. There's enough going on in different frequency ranges in this song that some good separation can happen, doesn't sound bad at all.
I can't recall... do the multitracks exist for this track? Has a real stereo version appeared anywhere? Makes me hopeful for where digital extraction will be in a few years. All around a good sounding mix, with some oddities in the backing vocals by my ear. Though that last part seems an inevitable consequence of digital extraction

Oftentimes, these stereo remixes can sound 'off' and nauseating, but they did a fabulous job with this one, it sounds outta sight !!
