I dont know if this has been addressed yet but on the Child is the Father of the Man Original 1966 mix from the Wake the World boxset, is that the Great Shape acetate that has only been rumored about at the end? As in the more energetic one mentioned but never released. It sounds very very similar to Great Shape, Id love to know your thoughts!

Edit: Maybe this belongs here? http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,8214.0.html (Thread for various insignificant questions that don't deserve their own thread!)

Mark Linett said that it's a version of I'm In Great Shape from the Durrie Parks acetates.

It's a short loop from a Heroes and Villains edit on one of the acetates, yes. Mark recorded a few seconds on his phone and snuck it on the end.

That's how I like my Smile. Lo-fi and crackly just like the boots from the 80's.

Nothing has ever been as magical as uncovering another fragment. Months and years would go by between them. I used to dream about Smile boots, literally.

Forgive me my moaning Gen X moment, but the immediacy of the internet robs us of these experiences.
