Title: Surf's Up Vocal Isolation?
Post by: Candy-Wrapper607 on September 18, 2020, 08:05:00 AM
Hi everyone!

I am new here, and very excited to make my first significant post.

With that said, I wanted to ask about the song Surf's Up. I have been working on compiling a "vocals only" version of SMiLE, and have been stumped on how to isolate the vocals for Surf's Up, because the most I have been able to get out of it was the wall of harmonies at the end of the track. The rest of the song prior to that is near impossible for me to figure out how to isolate (for clarification, I am talking about the SS version of the vocals, and not the vocals from the Surf's Up album). Any input or direction towards someone's work would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much, love and mercy

"Vocals only" mix of the 1971 version taken from Get The Boot. I think you should just take the last part from here
