He had been hospitalized with symptoms of Covid 19. The results of the test hadn’t come in. Marsalis , an educator and jazz pianist , is the father of musician sons Branford, Wynton, Delfeayo and Jason. He was teacher to Harry Connick Jr, Terence Blanchard, Nicholas Payton and other top local musicians. Another legend gone. Looking at Hoffman, the rising number of musicians who have succumbed to COVID-19 is alarming, to say the least. |
