Mark E. Smith, the one constant in that ever changing ensemble The Fall, died yesterday at age 60. Given his scathing opinions of everyone from Bowie (who nonetheless reportedly loved The Fall) to Mumford & Sons, it’s shocking to hear that he at least once dug a BBs track, according to Damon Gough in the link above. Wonder which one it was.... Wonder which one it was.... I never did make inroads into their music but by all accounts Smith was a real character. A great shame he's gone. They did a great rockumentary film about them : "It's Not Repetition,It's Discipline". They are also the guys who created the only Mt. Vernon & Fairway/SMiLE-movie in existence so far: "Dumb Angel Fairy Tale". So that's another connexion if U will ...
