Title: Who played what on The Little Girl I Once Knew?
Post by: TheWonderfulHarpsichord on August 20, 2017, 04:56:12 PM
All the information i can find is that Carol Kaye plays Bass and Don Randi plays organ. I was wondering if the guitar parts could be Carl...

Hal Blaine: Drums
Frankie Capp: Vibes

Roy Caton: Trumpet
Jim Horn, Plas Johnson, and Jay Migliori: Saxes

Don Randi: Organ
Al De Lory: Piano

Carol Kaye: Fender Bass
Lyle Ritz: String Bass

Then lots of Guitar player types:

Barney Kessel, Billy Strange, Howard Roberts.  Plus this guy Larry Hulley who seems to also be a guitar player, although I know nothing about him.

One of the guitar players switches to some kind of Dano situation in the middle of the session, and you can really hear it well because Chuck fiddles with the level and which Buss it goes down for a bit.

Carl Would've been completely surplus.
