I went to the San Diego Zoo yesterday for an anthropology project on primates - coincidently also the album cover location for Pet Sounds back in 1966. So, i had to stop by!!! The Beach Boys visited the Children's petting zoo back in February 1966. I used THIS (http://www.popspotsnyc.com/beach_boys_pet_sounds/) website as a reference and studying while i was at the location. I got pretty close to where the actual band stood back in 1966.
