I you had to choose an albums worth of some of the nutty, nonsensical songs of the Beach Boys, which songs would you choose? Keep in mind, including them on this album does not mean that they are bad songs, just strange. Stuff like this:

Good list but since I'm a Pitter Patter junkie, I'd have to replace it with "You're Welcome" or "When Girls Get Together".

Potter Patter is one of my favs. And I'd pay good money for Smile Brian's album idea.

Now THAT's a consummately strange comp--though I think I'd substitute "Love is A Woman" for "Airplane."

But just out of curiosity...what the heck would be the track listing for SHORTENING BREAD VOL. 1??  :o

These remind me of those weird GH comps from the late 1960s.

Just make sure to add Frosty The Snowman in the tracklist, directly after some psychedelic Smiley Smile tracks for full effect. And for a modern twist, after Frosty, be sure to add Summer of Love.

The fact that you added Meant For You was interesting. It is one of those songs that when I learned there was an extended version, I was thrilled. Until I heard it. Shortening it was definitely the correct choice. It is short and sweet and leaves you wanting more.

Exactly. Reading the other posts seems like they're fast to be as controversial as possible.

I've always thought of "Wrinkles" as slightly like Mike's version of Jerry Lewis making "The Day the Clown Cried." By that, I *only* mean a weird, grossly misplaced but seemingly genuine pathos.
