Following up on on our discussion about Mike Love's memoir, Phil Miglioratti, who runs the Pray for Surf podcasts, and I dig into Brian Wilson's. We compare the very different approaches of the two books, talk about the challenge of interviewing Brian, SMiLE, Landy, Murry, Brian's love for the Rolling Stones, his solo career, etc. Interestingly, Ben Greenman, Brian's collaborator, was not made available to us, as Mike's collaborator, Jim Hirsch, was. The Mike interview got quite a discussion going. Hopefully there's something to grab onto here as well.
