Sunshine is a great way to end the album! Anyway what did you think of my alternative albums? I've added my version of Bambu and Dennis's unfinished/unreleased first album Hubba Hubba Title: Re: Alternative Beach Boys Albums Post by: HeroesandVillains on August 28, 2016, 05:41:14 AM My latest alternative album is here! I never heard of this website before, I love the whole mixtape feel to it. I especially love the beautiful remix of "Cool Cool Water" by Will C. So I'm guessing you're not a fan of the proposed Poops title then? :p Title: Re: Alternative Beach Boys Albums Post by: HeroesandVillains on August 29, 2016, 04:06:46 AM Not hearing anything oddly enough. Title: Re: Alternative Beach Boys Albums Post by: shangaijoeBB on August 31, 2016, 02:09:46 PM Hey Matt I really dig your mixes! Especially the "Wild Honey", "In Concert" and the "Surf's Up" ones (where is that "Don't Go Near the Water" mix comes from?!). I tend to prefer to keep my album reconstructions under 23 minutes max per side, as the vinyl format allowed at the time. But hey, the music's so good that you can cook up whatever configuration suits you better! Cheers!

The Mix of Don't Go Near The Water is from a "live" tv broadcast where the band (With Blondie And Ricky so this is probably '73 or '74) lipsynched the song at what i believe is Brighton Peer. So the water sound effects are from the beach nearby. Unfortunately the sound quality isn't great but i like how it adds to the song. Like the band are second to the ocean. Thanks loads for the kind words. You're a huge inspiration |
