Title: She's So Fine by Flash Cadillac and the Continental Kids
Post by: Cristian Kiper on August 23, 2016, 08:02:00 AM
Most of us are familiar with this track from the American Graffiti movie; it builds an entire song around the opening guitar lick of Don't Hurt My Little Sister. What I didn't know was that in 1972, a year before the movie came out, the band had recorded a different version of the song which is even more Beach Boys-like, borrowing the drum line from the Beach Boys' version of Hushabye. You can listen to it here:

What a great band these were and their Sons Of The Beaches album is epic. How sad it is, though, that most of the band are now dead. Gone too early.

I remember when I bought Sons of the Beaches......that is simply put a great album......one that if you close your eyes, you can dream the Boys would have made back in the 60's. Have it on CD and still listen to it often
