Seems like a reasonable list.

"All I Wanna Do"!  Yes!

Wouldn't consider some of these deep cuts.  "Sail On Sailor", "Warmth of the Sun", "Darlin", and "Let Him Run Wild" are songs I'd expect casual fans to know.  I knew all those songs before I was a super fan.

The fact that many of these songs are considered obscure deep cuts is kinda sad...

"Darlin'" got quite a bit of popularity when it was played on The Big Bang Theory, as well as it's inclusion in Sounds Of Summer, so i wouldn't consider that a "deep cut".

The guy that wrote the bios to each song entry LOVES the Beach Boys.

The fact that many of these are considered deep cuts isn't sad, it shows that they had a gajillion memorable hits up on the surface.

and that they're not deslided.

I wouldn't even consider most of these songs deep cuts to be honest.  Warmth of the Sun, Darlin, Sail on Sailor?  There's so many other gems buried in Beach Boys albums that have never appeared on any kind of best of or greatest hit compilation. 

Although, All I Wanna Do is a nice addition.

Not that it matters, as these Top 10 lists are at best just a fun curio and at absolute worst just click bait, but I don't think "Darlin'" is a deep cut by any measure. It appears on "Sounds of Summer", and was performed at most live shows from about 1968 until 1998. If you went to a BB concert in the last 20-25 years of Carl's life and Carl was at the show, they probably performed "Darlin'." That track has always seemed to be more of a "moderate hit that should have or could have been a bigger hit."

I think, in trying to put oneself in the position of a "casual" fan, a "deep" cut could be anything that isn't on the most common hits comps (Endless Summer, Sounds of Summer) and/or wasn't regularly performed in concert over the years. I suppose most of the rest outside of "Darlin'" could fit this bill.

It's difficult to say. "The Warmth of the Sun" and "Let Him Run Wild" are both on "Endless Summer", but were not often performed in concert (especially the latter).

"Sail on Sailor" is kind of one of the only somewhat well-known (to the masses) 70s track, and was sporadically performed in concert.

IJWMFTT was obviously not a concert staple nor a single nor on hits compilations, but "Pet Sounds" is so well known (and endlessly repackaged) that I'm not sure how "deep" of a cut something could be from that album.

But, as a "Songs that casual fans who might show up to a Beach Boys concert and know the car and surf hits" list, I think this list is fine and makes enough sense outside of "Darlin'"

My disqualifications from "deep cut" status would include having charted (Darlin', Warmth of the Sun, Sail on Sailor) or been on Endless Summer (Let Him Run Wild).

In our discography web page http://beachboyslegacy.com/ we have labeled those "deep cuts" as "gems". For us, the definition would be: "A lesser known track, but generally considered by Beach Boys aficionados as great or underrated, despite never entering the charts."
We have identified all the Gems of each Beach Boys and Solo albums, but we can revise or add more songs.

We will add some Gems mentioned here that are not in our site ;)

Everyone's list is equally superb! And no band besides the Beatles has given us so many gems!

I would add Only with You. Sorry but Darlin' CAN'T qualify as a "deep cut" when it was a top 40 hit.  Sail On Sailor?  Close to being THAT as well.  Songs contained on greatest hits packages are hardly DEEP CUTS.  Rolling Stone comes up ever-so-short yet again.  Who did they poll? ...people 24 and younger?  I say that as the listening experience seems limited.  Or did they even really do a valid poll?

"Darlin'" went top 20 in the US and almost top 10 in the UK----"deep cut" my eye!

How about "The Shift"? Years ahead of its time in harmonic daring, unique even, and no one ever mentions it...

My quick thought on Darlin as a deep cut...I have never heard it played on the radio before! Perhaps in England and other places it gets played, but I haven't heard it on the Texas oldies station. Interesting that it was higher on the charts than God Only Knows which does get regular air play!

Those are some pretty amazing deep cuts for you!

I heard it on UK radio in early '68. In those days (and a while before then) I played everything (on the piano) with a left-hand pattern that was almost invariably twice the bass note followed by twice the chord. As in "Darlin'"----and I remember what a joy that was to play. In fact it played itself. Yes, it was all over the radio. Anything Beach Boys was big news in the UK, all the way into the early '70s.   

"Deep cut" should be narrowed down somehow...maybe it should be based on songs that rarely if ever got into the live playlist.

Songs on this RS list include some tunes that have been brought back into present-day shows, but what about the tracks that haven't had that happen? Maybe someone can take these lists and pare them down into one that uses that as the "definitional criteria"...

You guys have touched on most of the good "deep cuts".      Point is that there are a good couple of dozen most excellent  cuts that many casual fans have not heard.    In particular, Time to Get Alone and SNJ.   These two cuts always make me want to bring them to the attention of others.   20 years apart and no where near the "peak" years of the band,   yet  stand out tracks that most would enjoy if pointed in their direction.   I'll resist the temptation to make a longer list.
