Let's take a look at the lyrics:


On the surface, this seems like a thing sweet thing to say. He wants to bring her laughter for the rest of their natural lives. Yes, how very nice. BUT YOU HAVE TO DIG DEEPER PEOPLE.  The span of her natural life won't be much longer if she spends the entirety of it laughing. You see, her constant, continual laughter would deprive her of oxygen, her abdominal muscles would freeze, and she would perish. It's happened before (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_from_laughter), and he wants to make it happen again. There would be absolutely no signs of foul play, and Dennis would walk away a free man.



Does this sound like a stable person to you? He was talking to the sun. On top of that, he presumably stood and stared at it for a period of time his mind registered as "forever," just to make sure it wouldn't stop shining.



I hope you're now starting to be able to pick up on the true, dark meaning behind these statements. This one should be clear enough. He doesn't want to make her joyful. Instead, he literally wants to fill her heart with joy. He's going to keep singing until her heart is entirely packed with joy, preventing it from beating and effectively shutting down the circulation of her blood. Once again, Dennis would go free, as he couldn't be blamed for her heart failure.



Does anyone else notice that one, ominous word? "Been." He used to be happy with you, but it's over now. Now he is going to kill you.



Maybe it's just me, but someone else's heart seems like a strange place to keep your things. I suppose once he removes all the joy from her heart cavities, there will be ample space. That word "live" is an interesting one, though. It's almost as if Dennis wants to reanimate her corpse. He's going to let his love live inside her heart, where it will begin to take over and resume its beating? For what nefarious reasons Dennis has to do this, I do not know.



The lyrics continue to mention singing--almost obsessively so. If we recall an earlier portion of the lyrics, singing is one of his plans to murder her. It seems he has chosen his method.



It ends here--with a threat. It may seem as though he is gone, but he will be coming back. Is this a warning to the woman in the song? Perhaps.
Maybe, just maybe, it's a warning to the listener.

Murder? Sounds more like he is into some girl who is not into him and now he has decided to leave her alone.

His words don't make her laugh and his songs don't fill her heart with joy. She is not responding to his love.

Man, if this is what Forever is about, then I can only guess about the true meaning of Our Sweet Love.

It's rather hilarious to me; analyzing humor is hard to do, but I think it's to do with people having a Manson-related conversation and someone shows up and writes a post that is so much like what a stereotypical crazed fictional psycho-killer would write. The Captain's response was perfect.
I think that post and Bubbly Waves OP here are a couple of my favorite posts on this whole board.

RRA1, while humor is definitely hard to explain--especially across languages and cultures--I think the reason many of us found that "fum him the mourdorous bastard" line (and post) so funny is that it was just so, so stupid. It's not inherently funny: there's no joke there. The poster wasn't being funny. It's that he rambled with that poorly written nonsense while thinking he was making some kind of worthwhile point. There is something funny about people aiming high with their intentions, confident with their posts, and instead leaving behind incoherent and ignorant drivel. That's funny.

In fact, one could argue it's almost the essence or purpose of comedy: taking down the mighty. That's what most comedy is, whether it's bringing some world leader "down to size," pointing out flaws we all share to keep our egos in check, or something similar. (It's not particularly funny when a 5-year-old writes badly: a 5-year-old is supposed to write badly and is a sympathetic figure. It's funny when an adult trying to make a grand statement writes badly.)
