Title: BB's cirque du soleil Post by: NateRuvin on March 27, 2016, 06:37:15 AM I had the wonderful experience of seeing Beatles Love last night. It was absolutely breathtaking. The sets, costumes, choreography, lights, sound, and of course THE MUSIC were all amazing. They even had an entire Beatles store with all of their music and all of the Beatles paraphernalia you could ask for.
The whole thing got me thinking, could there be a cirque du soleil show, like LOVE, but with the Beach Boys??? Perhaps called (Mike) Love! :lol :lol :lol Title: Re: BB's cirque du soleil Post by: bossaroo on March 27, 2016, 12:16:45 PM I'm sure Mike would be cool with that.
it's a nice idea, but I imagine it would be hard to get past all the generic fun-in-the-sun imagery and have folks really take the music seriously. and I'm sure Mike would be cool with that. I don't recall Martin saying he rejected it. I would imagine it was just talk and nothing more. I also recall the implication being Brian was interested in the remix/mashup aspect of it musically, as opposed to anything to do with Cirque du Soleil.
