Title: Morricone/Brian connection
Post by: shangaijoeBB on January 29, 2016, 11:59:45 AM
Im' sure this has been mentioned here before, but do you think the maestro listened to ''Cabinessence'' on 20/20 before going to work on the soundtrack to Sergio Leone's ''Gił La Testa''?
Or is it just that both of my idols have the same kind of musical sensibility?!

Have ALWAYS thought that Duck You Sucker was Wilsonian - absolutely. And not just this cut - check out Cheyenne's theme from Once Upon A Time in the West for more Cabinessence/Little Pad

Just for the hell of it.
This clip doesn't show it but he loved percussive vocals too.

The Morricone clip was excellent.
