Pretty good effort though. Where was the previous discussion? Title: Re: The Beach Boys - 50 Years of Good Vibrations 2016 Promo? Title: Re: The Beach Boys - 50 Years of Good Vibrations 2016 Promo? Post by: HeyJude on January 15, 2016, 03:37:24 PM Once could be forgiven for wondering why an official Capitol Records promotional video is being posted not by Capitol or EMI or UME or any official Beach Boys YouTube channel, but rather "Noven Jaisi", who is presumably the creator of the video.
Further, some other video he prepped (the one that mixed "reunion" footage with footage of Mike and Bruce's touring band) was supposedly confirmed as *not* official. Whether Capitol/UME and/or Brother is now employing this Jaisi to make videos, it's odd to have him post the video under his own YouTube account. Also interesting that the only links underneath the video are for "thebeachboys.com", which promotes Mike's tour and no other member's, and then Mike's official website and Mike's Facebook page. No links to Brian's website or Facebook, nor Jardine, etc. As I've said before, these videos aren't a big deal one way or the other. They're just clipjobs whether they're "official" or not. But I don't think it's out of line to wonder whether these are "fan" videos, or videos commissioned by Mike for his tour, or commissioned by Capitol/UME, or Brother, etc. Title: Re: The Beach Boys - 50 Years of Good Vibrations 2016 Promo? Post by: Pretty Funky on January 15, 2016, 03:46:32 PM Ok so Noven Jaisi does it again.
Can I suggest he be given the Hollywood Bowl and/or RAH C50 masters. He obviously does a great job and going by the name, probably works cheap! ;D PS...Going by the latest interview, we now know what Mike is 'smoking' in his pipe at 50sec? :hat |
