Billy drew a line under the latest bout of nonsense (and it is truly utter nonsense - this is a piddling, insignificant message board, not the UN General Assembly), and under all the misunderstandings, lies, derailings and outlandish behaviour, asking us all to move on, not looking back. I'm up for that from hereon in, if for no better reason than I respect him to Hell and back. Who's with me ?

The problem was never the mods and their moderation of the board. ::)

I don't post as often as I should, and as often as others do, but I've been a faithful devotee to this board, its previous incarnation, and other BB message boards dating back to 1998 or so.  With all that being said, I'd say everyone should respect the line that Billy drew and, as a whole, let's just move on.  Let bygones be bygones, and let's get this place back to being awesome with great discussions and input on the subject we're all here for.  We're extremely fortunate to have the Honored Guests, and others closely associated with the BB community, that visit and post here and we should not take that for granted.  We should all just let the trivial baloney go, and if it warrants further discussion, have it done behind closed doors.  In one way, active members of SmileySmile are like a big family (as the BB are).  It's understandable that disagreements come up from time to time.  Just look at all the litigation and disagreements the BB have been through throughout the years.  But, at the end of the day, we're here for the music and the appreciation of same.

Sooooo hard to commit to a one way ticket without knowing who'll be first to break the ceasefire! But right now I'm happy - every respect for Billy and his line, and willing to have faith in the mods' collective promise that issues will be acknowledged and rules clarified. Feeling optimistic right now.

I did a cursory search to discover what is meant by Billy's Line, but came up with nothing.  I assume it's deep inside one of those 30-page threads, whose title only applies to the first 5 posts.  Count me as not on the AGD train at this point, I guess.

The Mods closed that thread so you start a new  one? After you been exposed by GF, Rab, nasty emails. If this board is so insignificant, why are you so obsessed with it?

Does this mean you will ignore OSD and SB as they comment on Myke. (After all, you having been hurling the negs about Melinda and Brian's management for years)

Does this mean you will stop calling people trolls?

Does this mean you will not send nasty PMs, unsolicited, to anti-Mike Love posters?

Does this mean you will stop doing "detailed background research" on Board members you don't like and then spam out unsolicited derogatory PMs about said members?

Or will this be the same old mid-field line that you hop from one side to another to suit your purposes?

But the best chance is for everyone to give everyone else a fresh start and not look for bad intentions and for each to proceed with the best intentions themselves. I know there's a lot of water under the bridge here, but wouldn't it be nice (to try again?)
