Title: Re: A, B, C, D, Z Post by: Rentatris on November 03, 2015, 01:46:01 AM You lost me when you put Friends in the D list It's a good album - I certainly toyed with it going into the C List, POB would make way and it was a close call. Thats what I quite liked about this game, limiting to 5 albums per category makes you make some tough decisions. Have a go.... :) Title: Re: A, B, C, D, Z Post by: Andrew G. There's too much good stuff to put at the top end so I'd end up skipping albums that are genuinely good and shouldn't be moved down a category. The bottom end is easier. Title: Re: A, B, C, D, Z Post by: Emily on November 03, 2015, 11:40:12 AM With the original assignment I'm not clear if leaving them off the list means they are worse than or better than "Z", so I added an "E" because if you include imaginary SMiLE, you get exactly 30 official BB studio albums. I ignored non official Beach Boy releases (solos and other stuff).

I didn't overally think the game through and adding an E category and sticking to only BB albums seems sensible in retrospect...wish I'd thought of it :lol
To clear up, albums that are missed off are just ones that don't really mean anything to you, I guess. It's more like if you only had 5 essential, 5 burnable etc. what would they be, some categories (B list especially) could be 8 or 9 long for me it was about trying to whittle them down to five. Whereras the C list contains some albums I think less of that ones not included. If that's clear? (I'm aware it's not) Title: Re: A, B, C, D, Z Post by: The Shift on November 03, 2015, 01:27:21 PM A

I'm hooked though, a fan, and still give even those Z'ers a spin occasionally. I could full categories A and B with most of the albums from the C D and E sections. "Bad" Beach Boys is still better than most other bands' best. Edited – I already changed my mind…!
