Title: photos of the Wild Honey stained glass window??
Post by: bossaroo on September 20, 2015, 05:46:46 PM
I did think twice about devoting an entire thread to this topic, until I saw the Setlist Font thread...  :)

this is the only photo I've ever seen of the window (aside from the album cover)

anyone have more to share? I'd really like to recreate the design somehow.
thanks

That's great! I'm glad this thread exists because I've never seen that photo, or any ...

I'm with you on wanting to get one made. Could probably just use the record

That photo of Brian crashed in the chair is epic and sad all at the same time.

He's relaxing in a chair, in his own house, and it's sad?

Outfit in Minnesota has done a copy, about half way down the page. Cost nothing to ask for a price.

thanks for the Honeys pic, Will C!

Happy to share!

IS that the Honeys?  It almost looks more like the three Rovell sisters, than Ginger + 2

Thought I'd take another shot at this... Anyone have a picture of the full glass? My Dad is a stained glass artist and is making a replica for me. Can almost patch together the whole design between the Cover, Chair pic, and Rovell pic. I'd love to know what color the flower is on the lower right and also see if there is anything above where the album is cropped. Thanks!

Would it be weird to contact Marilyn? Maybe she has a photo.

I know Mikie who used to post here saw it, and I think he may have taken a picture, perhaps posted it at some time on some board.  But it seems he left here unhappy.

Daniel told me that he has the window and it is stored.

According to Mikie it wasn't his choice...

There was a discussion about the current status of the stained glass window over in a thread about the ornate carved bed that Brian was filmed / photographed in back in the '70s:

OF COURSE it was Mikie's choice. He had the choice NOT to post the words he did which got him banned, but he chose to post anyway

You know what I meant Chris.  He didn't "leave here unhappy."  He was banned, permanently.  And his transgression, as I understand it, was accusing someone of being a "cheerleader."  Much worse has been written here, bordering on verbal abuse and libel, without a permanent ban being imposed.

I don't really know the drama here -- but regardless Mikie saw it and I think he had a pic.

Yes, mods, what did happen? I think it's important to know exactly why a venerated poster like Mikie simply vanished from one day to the next. Then we can all move on, you see.

Hey,  Mikie just emailed me and said I posted the sentence below on account of I'm just mad because nobody's wondering where I am.
I'm here Mikie!  I can post!!!    I simply chose to step back... ( and if there isn't any concern, it's OK with me)

Again I say:

Nothing to see here, everyone move on....

sh*t, bgas, so you did survive the winter after all.  I better call back the salvage team I've despatched to your museum bunker.
