Members of both groups dueting on songs from both their catalogs.  Great sound quality.

That brings back some memories. :) Had the good fortune/great pleasure of seeing The Beach Boys and Chicago (same tour as the videos, 1989) and when both bands took to the stage for the finale, it was absolutely phenomenal! The BBs vocal prowess coupled with Chicago's instrumental chops was truly a match made in heaven (not that Chicago doesn't deliver solid vocals and vice verse where BB instrumentation is concerned, but...). It's almost a shame their in studio collaborations didn't extend beyond Wishing You Were Here and Baby, What A Big Surprise. Amazing show when I saw them together anyway.

Any demand for a Beachago tour in 2016 or beyond ? International, of course...

I always enjoy hearing Beachago clips, thanks for posting those.

Here's a video of an encore from the tour, shot by what I can only imagine was an extremely nervous camerman:

Saw them in both '89 and the mid 70's when they toured for the first time. Shame this was never officially released, as both tours rocked!

Carl Wilson and Peter Cetera might be my favourite vocalists ever, of course Peter is missing here. Carl kicking in in "You're the Inspiration" gave me goosebumps! I still can't stand Jason Scheff. I am waiting for the new Chicago documentary, I hope it will shed some lights on why Danny Seraphine was let go.

Caught that tour, too, at The Spectrum in Philadelphia. After Chicago's set and before The Beach Boys took the stage, Brian Wilson came out (with Fender bass) and played a three song set from his 1988 solo album. Brian also popped up for the extended encore but didn't do much, just basically walked around at the back of the stage.

"You're the Inspiration!"  A good song made great by Carl Wilson's magnificent voice.

Have you read Danny's autobiography ? Fascinating read...

I actually did, awesome read but a bit short. It didn't give too much information about his dismissal, only some little hints (like a vicious incident that happened backstage).

Cool stuff. Wish it didn't have the very late 80's keyboard sound. But still interesting to hear the BB's stretch and do something different in that era. Interesting to hear them give Mike part of the lead on "Wishing You Were Here." Carl sounds great on his stuff.
