I don't dance to it, but...

I think "Matchpoint Of Our Love" is one of the most underrated songs in the BB catalogue. I don't understand why everybody praises "Busy Doin' Nothin', but hammers "Matchpoint", when they are very similar songs.

The lyrics aren't THAT bad (if Brian had written them they'd be praised); and it is one of, if not the best, Brian Wilson lead vocal post 1971.

Brian didn't write "its been a long long while since we been strung out on Love"?

cmon thats a very brian-ish lyric to me.

Maybe Dennis wrote the original lyrics: "It's been a couple o' days since I last struck out at Love…" and Mike changed the lyric.
