Doe on June 19, 2015, 11:17:20 PM One is my collaborator, mentor and dearest friend, the legendary John Tobler, who took a raw fanzine contributor under his wing and shaped him into something vaguely resembling a real writer.
The other one is 73 today. Can you imagine a world without Brian Wilson, without Beach Boys music ? I choose not to. What a gray and cheerless place that would be. … but that 73-year-old strikes a chord with me too. Changed my life, since '76, both in enriching the quality of it and in impoverishing me long-term financially. Richer and poorer. They were both taken prematurely (by cancer) and I'll miss them both as long as I live.

That 73 year old youngster is mainly why we are all here. And no, I cannot imagine my life without the music of Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys. Since I was 4 years old (Some 53 years, now) it has been a daily part of my life.
