Title: Brian Wilson "Unknown Harmonies"
Post by: Rocky Raccoon on June 16, 2015, 04:34:27 PM
I recently joined Instagram and now I'm so glad I did as Brian's account just posted a rare vocal outtake from the first solo album.  Beautiful stuff.

Interesting!

I'm not certain but the vocals sound like they could be from Turning Point - does that sound right? If so, could that mean that the multi-tracks are where they should be (and that someone is listening to them)?

Didn't I read this exact same thread about a year ago?  :brow

I just found this thread, which might have been referring to the same vocal snippet:

(I think the soundcloud link is dead now, so can't verify either way).

Last years snippet WAS Turning Point / So Long for definate. Had me hoping for some Usher sessions release....?
I do not recognise this melody at all..
A Rio Grande discarde?

AGD, do you recognise it from your, er erm, many handwritten cassettes?

Haven't you heard ? All my faux-knowledge and quasi-insider assumptions are a put-on, one big lie. In reality, I know nothing.

I nabbed it when it was up on Soundcloud - here it is in nicer quality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-TYMKm198w (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-TYMKm198w)
