Title: Ok insiders, help me with this! Missing Bonus Tracks on Two-Fers
Post by: petsite on June 05, 2015, 03:48:09 AM
Was reading an old Goldmine article that announced The Beach Boys two-fer's that were coming out in 1990 (I must have missed this issue). Capitol gave a list of the bonus tracks for the two-fers to Goldmine to print. I looked over the list and lo and behold, what did I find for the Concert / Live In London CD?

Don't Worry Baby / Be True To Your School / Don't Back Down - Live from 1964
You've Got To Hide Your Love Away - Live At U of M Oct. 22, 1966
Heroes And Villains - Live 1969 (think they got the year wrong).

Also, Stack -O- Tracks was to be extended to 25-28 tracks.

Anyone know why these extra's were dropped from the CD?

Bob

Plans change. The Pet Sounds box, it was announced at the time, would be followed by a "GV Sessions" single CD and then a 3CD Smile set comprising one disc of "H&V" sessions, one disc of the best possible effort using the existing tracks and a third disc of the "best of the rest".

Actually... that's four-fifths of that we did get in 2011.  ;D
