Title: "ST2 - 2859" - unknown spoken intro on side 2 of French Wild Honey LP?
Post by: Freddie French-Pounce on May 28, 2015, 04:30:03 PM
Okay, context - I've had a duophonic French pressing of Wild Honey for about 5 years now, and it has always perplexed me why side 2 began as such (This is a direct vinyl rip, untouched): https://soundcloud.com/frederickjamesfrench-pounce/wild-honey-french-lp-side-2-message

For those that can't hear, it's an echo-laden voice stating "S, T2, 28, 59". This is also the catalogue number on the label - is this a "label" put on the master reel, and hasn't been spliced off here?

Any insight would be splendid!

Many Thanks

Freddie

sure, that's just great; pick an LP I don't have!
Something I guess I have to add to the wants list now....

Wow, that's really interesting. It almost reminds me of the trippy outro about 30 seconds after A Day In The Life by The Beatles.

Very odd! Found any other differences while playing the LP?
