Title: My new CFOTM mix
Post by: shangaijoeBB on May 20, 2015, 07:12:12 PM
Hello everyone!

Id' just like to share my new mix for Child Is Father Of The Man. It's pretty much what I think it would have sounded like as a song back then with a full set of lyrics. Using Brian's 1966 backing track edit as a blueprint, tracks from the Smile Sessions and vocals from the Project Smile CD version by Chris (Thanks, whoever you are). All in beautiful mono.

UPDATE: Link is changed.

OMG I love this! You even used those lyrics from project SMiLE, which whether theyre vintage or not are fabulous and better than what VDP came up with in 2003. Great stuff, thanks for sharing.

You're welcome, Mujan, and thanks for the kind comments! If any of you are interested in my 12 tracks version of SMiLE, just PM me! :)

Wow! really amazing!
Any chance you can do make this into a stereo mix?

Without doubt this melody for the verse lead vocal makes much more sense than the bland boringness of the BWPS version.
