Title: Hashirigaki -- Pet Sounds meets Gertrude Stein, etc. Post by: Larry Franz on May 11, 2015, 10:26:17 AM Thinking about "Don't Talk" reminded me that I got to attend a performance of an avant-garde theater piece in Brooklyn in 2003 called "Hashirigaki".
It's a mixture of Pet Sounds, Japanese music, Gertrude Stein's experimental writing, and some beautiful visuals. It was performed all over the world between 2000 and 2010. But I didn't find a reference to it here.
