Well, it's hard to find a surf spot that rhymes with "Ventura County Line". Best I could come up with was "Clemente's Linda Lane". Although Linda Lane in San Clemente may not have been called that in 1963 and apparently isn't that good anyway! Yet another Beach Boys lyric that needed a bit more work. :) ...do you think The Beach Boys would have been as popular as they became? Does this question imply that the Beach Boys were less popular where people had a beach? Were they? Or were they more popular in those places? I know they were very popular in inland California, maybe because the beach was close enough to be real for us but not close enough to visit very often.
